Privacy Policy

What we collect

  • Commission-Expiration Reminder signups: full name, email address, and commission appointment date. Nothing else.
  • Course enrollments (when DOS approves us): name, email, billing details processed by Stripe. We never see your card number.
  • Site analytics: aggregate, cookieless page-view data via Plausible. No individual tracking, no cross-site profiling, no sale of data.
  • Support emails: if you email support@panotaryedu.com, we keep the thread for as long as needed to answer and then up to 12 months for reference.

What we don't collect

  • No cookies for advertising. No third-party ad networks.
  • No device fingerprinting.
  • No data brokers.
  • No information about minors under 13 (COPPA). The site is aimed at adult notaries.

How we use it

Reminder signups are used only to send the reminder emails you requested (120, 60, and 30 days before commission expiration, plus a confirmation). Course enrollment data is used to deliver the course, issue your certificate, and satisfy the 5-year records-retention obligation under 4 Pa. Code § 167.96.

Who we share with

  • Stripe for payment processing (never stored on our servers).
  • Our email delivery provider (SMTP via our domain; no third-party marketing platforms as of the effective date).
  • The Pennsylvania Department of State, only to the extent required by the education-provider regulations at 4 Pa. Code § 167.91–167.125, including certificate verification records.

We do not sell your data. We do not rent lists. We do not share with advertisers.

How long we keep it

  • Reminder signup data: until 30 days after your commission expires, then deleted.
  • Course enrollment data: five years post-completion per § 167.96, then deleted.
  • Analytics: aggregate-only, indefinite (no individual data retained).

Your rights

Email support@panotaryedu.com to:

  • Request a copy of your personal data we hold.
  • Correct or delete any of it.
  • Unsubscribe from any list.

We respond within 30 days.

Security

All data transfer uses TLS (HTTPS). Reminder signups are stored in an access-controlled database. Payment data never touches our servers. Our site is hosted on a Pennsylvania-based VPS.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we update the effective date and post a notice on the home page for 30 days.
